Hello,

I am attempting to get IP6 set up and working on my home W7200 mesh.  I have Xfinity gigabit.

What would be the proper settings to get it to work?  The default settings populate including DNS servers but testing on computers fail.

test-ipv6  says "No IPv6 address detected" but also "Your DNS server (possibly run by your ISP) appears to have IPv6 Internet access."

Hi, the IPV6 settings are provided by ISP Xfinity directly.

Have you ever checked with Xfinity what internet connection type we should use?

  @David-TP I tried Xfinity chat and technical support (which is a real PITA over the relay service - I am deaf).  Both were completely clueless.  Technical support had no clue what I was talking about and could not locate any information for their IP6 settings and kept telling me that I had to get this information from Deco support.  What a joke.  An hour and a half of my life that I will never get back.

I don't know what to do at this point since their support is clueless.

 

**Update:  I got it to work just trying random settings.

This is what worked for me with the W7200 mesh and Xfinity:

IPv6 Connection Type: Dynamic IP

Get IP6 Address: Auto

Prefix Delegation: On

DNS servers - I used cloudflare's IP6 addresses successfully
Assigned Type: ND Proxy

test-ipv6 dot com passed with 10/10
