Model: TL-MR100
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I can't open settings page of my router. It just loads indefinitely.

Things I already tried:

1. restarting both router and pc multiple times

2. resetting router to factory configuration (even tried the 30-30-30 method and also any other way to drain capacitors you can think of)

3. ipconfig says that the default gateway is in fact 192.168.1.1

4. when I ping 192.168.1.1, it responds without a problem, I send 4 packets, 4 also arrive from the router (it however takes 0ms, if that's something to be concerned about)

5. tried both http and https protocols

6. entered ipconfig /renew and /flushdns

7. tried multiple browsers, chromium based and other, also cleaned cache and even tried incognito mode

8. I disabled firewall of the pc (can't turn off router firewall for obvious reasons)

9. one thing I can't do is to turn off wifi, but I don't think anything is connected to the router since I did a factory reset (and the pc is connected through Ethernet as is recommended)

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much for the reply.

Normally, if the SIM card is not locked by PIN Code, the router should be able to plug and play after inserting the working SIM card, but now there is no signal strength and internet LEDs light up, and web interface is not accessible either.

Please contact the seller where you bought it originally to check the warranty and get it replaced. Really sorry for any inconvenience caused!

Hi,thank you very much for the feedback.

May I know when you purchased the MR100? and was it working fine before?

Besides, currently, if you insert a working SIM card into the MR100, does it receive any 3G/4G signal(check signal strength LEDs on the router)and does internet still work?

@Sunshine Hi. I purchased it 1 year and 2 months ago. It was working fine for the entirety of that duration. Apart from some micro stutter in games from time to time.

Internet currently doesn't work, because I did a factory reset and I would need to set it up.

One thing happened before this problem occurred though. My internet provider was out during the night. My phone went back online no problem at the morning, but my router didn't (I have basically the same SIM card in both, different plan, but same provider). When I went to 192.168.1.1 to see what's the problem, I couldn't get in.

Edit: the internet light is off as well as all signal strength lights, only power, wifi and ethernet lights are on.

Edit2: you gave me an idea to test if the SIM caused any issues, but no, it works fine on my phone

Some routers have a security feature in which it will not allow access to the WebUI to wireless clients. Try connecting only via wired.

Another possibility is that it may be configured for HTTPS vs HTTP and does not have redirection enabled. If you have Windows 8 or greater, you can run the following in PowerShell to see if the device is reachable and listening on any web ports:

Test-NetConnection 192.168.1.1 -Port 80

Test-NetConnection 192.168.1.1 -Port 443

If it is listening on port 443, the other thing I can think of is that the web server on your router is running a too low version of SSL/TLS or a deprecated cipher suite, and your browsers are not letting you browse to the page. What error message does your browser return?
