Hi, I currently have an Archer A7 running on AP mode, as I have another TP-Link router as my main one (Archer VR600) and I am using the A7 as another access point for great wifi across my house. However, for some reason there is no IPv6 on the A7, but if I go in range of the VR600 it works as normal. What should I do?

I managed to fix this by messing around with the DCHP settings, I think unticking the RNDSS box enabled IPv6 connectivity. I'll share screenshots of my setup

Following from this, it shows there's an IP address on my phone for IPv6, but no router?

@DavidL1

As per your description, it seems the Archer A7 is actually bridging the connection from the main VR600 to the client devices, so the devices can get IPv6 addressed from the main router directly, A7 itself doesn't request that.

To determine this, please test if your IPv6 does provide internet access by searching for "how to test IPv6 connectivity", then you will see the website to test IPv6 connectivity. Sorry that I cannot post the website directly due to forum settings.

 @DavidL1

I have the similar problem with Archer AX20 (AX1800).

Hardware Version: Archer AX20 v1.0

Firmware Version: 1.3.5 Build 20211231 rel.53949(4A50)

I use AX20 in bridge mode, and my internet provider serves IPv6 address. But our PC or smartphone cannot get IPv6 address.

The network clients can get IPv6 address just after restarting my TP-Link AX20 (in bridge mode). But IPv6 address allocation doesn't work after a while.

More specifically speaking, RA (Router Advertisement) packet didn't reach to my PC. (I confirmed with Wireshark)

I changed ports to connect to the uplink router from uplink port to other LAN port because I guessed LAN port is connected to other port more directly, but it didn't help.

I guess this is a generic issue of TP-Link products.

Thank you for the information, but my Archer AX20 do not have setting for IPv6. Maybe I'd better create a dedicated thread for my issue.
