Model: Archer A6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.2 Build 20201126 rel.39768(5255)

Hello! I'm trying to setup my Archer A6 V2.0 (Ukraine) as a range extender so I could enforce local Wi-Fi connection. I have read dozens of topics around official forum as well as external ones with little to no success. Please, help!

I upgraded router to the latest firmware available. Still I have no "range extender" mode in "working mode" section as well as there's no WDS settings available in "wireless settings" section. There's also no "System parameters" sub-menu option in "System tools" section.

So, I found myself completely lost in this situation. No presets for range extender, no menu options for manual setup as well. If you could guide me through some existing workarounds I would much appreciate that!

Or maybe any suggestions on third party firmware which could solve the issue?

Because of the russian invasion our local tp-link tech support is unavailable. Thus, international community is my last hope!

Thanks in advance!

  @RainSong

Once you've upgraded to a OneMesh capable FW there's no way going back:

In general Archer A6 should be capable of building WDS following this guide.

I saw that you stated there's no option System Parameters in System Tools menu.

Here's the Archer A6 emulator screenshot:

Make sure that your router is running in router mode (not access point mode). WDS is available only in router mode.

Upgrading the router with FW for another region is restricted. If you attemp that most probably you'll receive an error message during the attempt.

Apparently the WDS feature has been removed in newer firmware versions in favor of OneMesh.

I am not sure if its possible, but you could try to go back to a pre-OneMesh firmware.

Well I upgraded firmware from version 1.0.1 (default) to the 1.3.2. And there was no WDS feature available as well. Is there any chance WDS was available in pre-onemesh state in different region?

What is the region code of your Archer A6? (it is printed on a label on the underside of the router and says something like "Model: Archer A6(XX)  Ver: 2.0", with the XX indicating the region)

@RainSong I'm trying to do the same with no luck.  My router states:  Archer A6(US) ver 2.1

Thank you so much!

You pointed out my fault on setting correct "working mode" to "Router". This enabled "system properties" so I configured WDS and it works!

Also, for those stranding in search of a quick guide, this configuration guide worked nicely for me:
