Hi,
Are you trying to setup the VR1600v as an Access Point that you want to connect to another router?
If yes, try to change settings one by one and check the result after every change.
1) Factory-reset the VR1600v to be able to login again. Do not connect anything to the VR1600v bar the PC you use for setting the router up.
2) Log into the VR1600v's webGUI (may ask you to setup a new password) and then change the LAN IP address to whatever you need (for example 192.168.1.1 -> 192.168.0.2) and then try to login again via the new address (in my example http://192.168.0.2).
3) Assuming the previous step worked fine, now switch off (disable) DHCP on the VR1600v and check if you can still operate the VR1600v's webGUI. In case your PC got disconnected, then you need to manually configure a proper static IP address on the network card of your PC. (for example 192.168.0.99)
4) After you've confirmed that you can still access the VR1600v's webGUI you can go on with setting up your network.
