X20-DSL Custom DNS with PPPoE
I have just installed a X20-DSL connected to my ISP via VDSL. On my old router I could choose to set custom DNS instead of using ISP provided DNS, but it doesn't appear this option is available when using PPPoE
I know I can set DNS via the DHCP scope but I'd rather DNS forwarding be managed by the router instead of the client.
Is there a way to configure this or does this need to be a feature request?

I am afraid there is no ETA about the firmware yet.
And except for the WAN DNS under IPV4, we also support changing DNS under the DHCP server. (Deco APP>More>Advanced>DHCP server).

Hi, it is suggested to have a look at this link:
On the Deco APP, under the connection type, there is an option” Obtain DNS Automatically”.
Please turn it off and customize your own DNS settings.

Just to confirm, when you click internet connection type under IPV4, are you able to get the next "WAN" page but there is no option to customize DNS or this page is not loading at all?

@TP-Link thanks for replying.
In advanced I can click on IPv4 in Advanced and can see PPPoE in Internet connection type, it appears clickable as per the screenshot but nothing loads when I click it.
I've tried this on an Android phone running android 10 & a tablet running Android 11 with the same result. The only way it seems to modify PPPoE is to re-run quicksetup but the only options I have for this setup are username, password & vlan.

Hi, I did check on the Deco X20-DSL on my side and it is able to customize the DNS settings under IPV4.
But I do have the issue you described here. For several attempts, the APP did not load the next page and I need to wait for a while and keep refreshing this page.
If you do not mind, please refer to the following suggestions to have a look:
1. turn off the mobile data.
2. put the smartphone into airplane mode.
Please let me know whether it is working or not.

@TP-Link hi, I tried that from my phone with mobile data off + airline on with wifi on. I couldn't get it to respond. I also tried from my tablet which is WiFi only with the same result. I wasn't able to ever click through despite trying for quite a while.
