Hello,

I recently got a new internet provider which gives me 300Mbps speed. I'm using my old trusty WR840N but the thing is that I can't reach more than 100Mbps.

I tried with cable and it is a little bit better

Then I check the specifications of the router and I saw that all 5 Ethernet ports (1 WAN + 4 LAN) are 10/100Mbps.

I'm not very knowledgeable about how this router works, but just by following simple logic I can't understand how it's possible for the router to be rated as a 300Mbps router when it can get maximum of 100Mbps from the WAN port? 

Could someone please explain it to me?
