Model: Archer C5400X
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: C5400X(US)_V1_191223

Hello. Good day,

I'm using C5400X for almost 2 years but has not received any new firmware updates.
I would like to ask if Tp-link is planning to roll out an update for this considering a high-end router with new features and functions such as One-Mesh.
I'm using many TP-link devices at home, but this time, I'm feeling disappointing because of customer service.

Thank you anyone who will answer here.

@.Trung Unfortunately it appears that TP-Link has given up this model :( I'm going to have to throw mine out, still researching a replacement, but it definitely won't be a TP-Stink.

@makeIThappen I hate TP link because of this. Even I have many other products from this brand. I won't buy anymore product from them.

Hello, we generally recommend TP-Link users keep their device FW up to date. However, there are times that there are no new features or functions added to the model or bug/security fixes for a model or models, thus there is no newer firmware published.

Archer C5400X are released in early 2018, it's almost 4 years old, I personally think it's quite normal that a company doesn't publish new firmware adding new features to it.

If you do encounter an issue with the usage, you should describe it in details, then we may check with the engineering team to see if they can offer a beta firmware for you.

@Kevin_Z

Archer C5400X Was released in 2018, but due to availability, I could not purchase until mid 2019 at a cost of  roughly $400 CDN. That means my router was just over 2 years old at the time of my post.

The ongoing connectivity issues are well documented on this forum: https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/200128?replyId=1023670&utm_source=Subscription&utm_medium=email

There are other issues too, but this is the router's main function. I have to use an older Asus router just to function and this sits in the corner as an (expensive) paperweight.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of updates to resolve issues and address security vulnerabilities.
