Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.1 Build 20210126 Rel 62679

Main Deco M9 Plus connected to BBOX3 modem

BBOX3 modem set as router with LAN IP 192.168.0.1 and packet forward all TCP/UDP to IP 192.168.0.2 in DMZ (Main Deco). Main Deco MAC address defined with IP address 192.168.0.2

Main Deco WAN via DHCP, LAN 192.168.1.1 and DHCP Server range 192.168.1.100-192.168.1.200. Second port on Mail Deco goes to switch.

Slave Deco M9 Plus connected via wireless backhaul.

Parents Controle with time control is on for some network devices.

 

Sometimes internet connection drops. Usually at night. I suppose the BBOX3 modem/router get’s an update at night.

Deco LED’s turn red. Rebooting the Main Deco, sometimes LED turns green, internet access is restored but time control is no longer working. Network devices have internet access but counter stays zero.

 

Tried different scenario’s:

  • Rebooting the Main Deco -> still no internet
  • Rebooting the BBOX3 + Main Deco -> still no internet. After ± 1 hour internet connection and Wifi are back up. All looks OK except the Time Control timers just stay zero.
  • Shutting down BBOX3 + Main + Slave Deco. Then powering up BBOX3. When internet connection is OK on BBOX3, power on the Deco’s and all works again.

 

Any idea why Parental Control counters no longer work?

Hi, For the time control timer, did you mean this:

And every time you reboot the Deco, the spent online time would be zero?

Yes that is correct. Those counters stay 0.

When rebooting BBOX3 and Main Deco, this is the case.

 

When shutting down all (BBOX3, Main & Slave Deco), rebooting BBOX3 and rebooting Main & Slave Deco as soon internet connection is established in the BBOX3, all is OK and counters work again.
