Hi!

Just changed to a new ISP (Internet Service Provider) to another. Our new ISP's router's set to bridge mode, so I put a TP-Link after that.

I set the standard port in the virtual server section to allow the remote desktop service to reach the server PC. But it doesn't work from outside of the office.

We can connect to the same server from the local network.

The server PC has a dedicated IP address, the port forward (virtual server) destination is that IP address, enabled TCP/UDP as well, and set the port to 3389.

Nothing happens... Before the ISP change it work well, never had been any problem with that! There is no change on the server PC.

Can anyone help mi to solve this issue?

Thank you!

GSTLeslie

Hello @terziyski !

You were right! I had to ask the ISP to set my IP to a public one! Now it works fine! wink

@GSTLeslie

Probably the WAN IP address of your TP-Link is not a public one, despite the fact that the ISP router is in bridge mode.

Check and see if that's the case. Here's a list pf private IP addresses for reference:

RFC 1918
10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255
CG-NAT
100.64.0.0 - 100.127.255.255

You option is to talk to the ISP to offer you a solution for using the RDP.
