Why is the default starting range 192.168.68.50, and the end at 192.l68.71.50 (a different subnet)? I really don't understand this.

Hi, I think your subnet mask might be 255.255.252.0, instead of 255.255.255.0, which is under Deco APP>More>advanced>LAN IP.

Hi, the IP range is decided by LAN IP address and subnet mask.

For example, If the LAN is 192.168.68.1, subnet mask is 255.255.255.0,(also called 192.168.68.1/24) the IP range would be 192.168.68.1-192.168.68.254;

If the subnet mask is 255.255.252.0 (192.168.68.1/22), the IP range would be 192.168.68.1-192.168.71.254;

If the subnet mask is 255.255.255.255 (192.168.68.1/32), there would be only one IP address-192.168.68.1;

 As for how to figure out the correct IP range based on the subnet mask, the explanation on Wikipedia would provide more details:
