I'm currently using a RE450 to expand the coverage of my home's WiFi. I installed it in my room and I connect it to my computer via an Ethernet cable to establish an internet connection for my computer.

I'm thinking of buying a RE605X to replace it. However, it seems that the Ethernet Port of the RE605X is used to connect to the main router via an Ethernet cable to establish a 'wired' connection, as such the RE605X will be turned into an Access Point. I saw this as part of the description of this model on the website.

I'm currently confused as to if I can use the Ethernet Port to connect to my computer instead? As that's what I would use the Port for, and not connect it to the main router and turn the RE605X into an Access Point.
