Model: Archer VR300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.0.0.8.0

Hi. I just bought a brand new AC1200 ARCHER VR300 and I'm having an issue of wifi coverage, even with 4 antnnas the wifi coverage is very weak, although with an older router of only 1 antenna I had way better coverage. I don't know what to do especially that this ARCHER VR300 was very expensive and I don't think this issue of wifi coverage is normal. Is there anything I can do?

@MadMaden

Hi, did both 2.4ghz and 5ghz have limited wireless coverage?

Have you tried to log into the web UI to change the transmit power to high and change the 2.4ghz channel to 6; channel 48/165 for 5ghz?

By the way, would the wireless signal be much stronger after reset?

Thank you.

I have tried all of that yesterday, 2.4ghz coverage is bad and 5ghz is even worse, I tried resetting my settings, made sure the transmit power is high, tried different channels.. nothing worked, I'm starting to worry if it's not a software issue but a hardware one.

@MadMaden

Hi, Thanks for the reply.

In this way, it seemed like the wireless module of this one might have some problems and please try to replace this modem first and check whether this issue would continue or not;

Thank you.

@MadMaden

Hi, for the warranty service, it is suggested to contact the shop retailer directly;

Or you could send an email to the local support team support.mea@tp-link.com

Thank you.
