Firmware Version:

I'm a happy user of an old TL-PA511 kit and I was wondering if I can buy a new TL-WPA4220 (with wifi) to add it to my powerline network. Will it be compatible?

Yes they are compatible. You could add a WPA4220 to the existing PA511 KIT power line network.
