Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 Build 20210121 Rel. 54042

Hello!

I was "stupid" enough to upgrade the Deco firmware from 1.2.4 to 1.5.0 Build 20210121 Rel. 54042. After the upgrade my Internet connection drops at least twice a day :-( Has anyone else experienced this?

@arnoutdeville

Hi, since the firmware 1.5.0/1.5.1 has added many features, it could not be reverted back to the previous firmware 1.0.5/1.2.6;

And we have tested on our side, the stability and speed did not get affected after the firmware upgrade;

So if you have any issue after the firmware upgrade, please leave me a private message or send an email to support@tp-link.com with Forum ID 258678

At the same time, please add the following information:

  1. The TP-Link ID;
  2. The system log from the web UI;
  3. A picture of your network diagram;
  4. The detailed issue after firmware upgrade; if it is about the speed, please feel free to add some pictures to the email;

Thank you very much

@steinab

Hi, thank you very much for your kind feedback;

Would any Deco blink red when the connection dropped out?

Have you checked whether all the Deco had the same issue or just the satellite Deco?

Did both wireless and Ethernet connection drop out?

How did you restore the connection every time?

Thank you.

@steinab I'm having the same issue with my Deco X60.

I already tried the firmware recovery (https://www.tp-link.com/nl-be/support/faq/2958/), but I'm unable to put them in recovery mode.

Any ideas?

@Sematwir

Have you ever encountered an issue with the current firmware? As we have stated previously that the official firmware had been fully tested and confirmed to be stable, please provide some basic information if you do encounter an issue, then we can help.
