Model: Archer VR2100
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Archer VR2100(EU)_V1_201122

Hi,

I currently have a Vodafone WiFi Router and a CPE 210 set up in the garden with the same SSID, i have issues that our mobile devices do not always switch to the better signal when in the garden and vice versa when returning to the house. The main reason for having the same SSID is that I have a portable WiFi speaker and having different SSID's would be complicated for my wife to use in and out of the house ( she has no patience or technical ability)

I am considering a Mesh set up of an Archer VR 2100 and a CPE 225 Outdoor but not sure if they are compatible. The VR 2100 is OneMesh compatible but the CPE 225 is just Mesh compatible.

Can anyone help with the best solution.

Thanks in advance

Mark

@MarkyMark58

Hi, I guess the 'CPE225' is EAP225?

Archer VR2100 could work with EAP225 but they could not build up OneMesh together;

For your current situation, the Deco whole mesh system would be a better choice:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/deco-mesh-wifi/

And recently, we are trying to collect customers' feedback and requirement about the OneMesh technology, if possible, please take some time to finish the following survey:

Thank you very much.
