I cannot upgrade firmware of my router i downloaded from tp link website.... it says file cannot be accepted by device.

Have you double-checked that the region code of the firmware you've downloaded is the same as the region code of your TL-WR841N?
You can find the region code on the label on the underside of the router. It should read something like "TL-WR841N (xx) Ver: 14", with "xx" indicating the region code.
