My previous internet (Sky) was only max 30Mbps in my lounge and I’d been using an AV600 in my office which got me around 20Mbps – I was obviously pretty happy with this! I recently moved to Virgin M200 and I get a consistent 200Mbps+ in the lounge but noticed my office was only getting around 25Mbps…I expected this to have increased massively, but having read some forums I assumed I needed to upgrade my AV600 to an AV1000 kit so purchased the TL-PA7017 but it’s actually performing worse than the AV600 and I’m only getting about 18Mbps!

How is the above even possible? Surely the AV1000 should be performing better than the AV600? I’ve plugged the AV600 back in and will be returning the AV1000 unless anyone can advise what the issue might be?

I wonder if anyone may be able to offer some advice?

@HOD6IE

Hi, could you please help me check the following details:

  1. How about your network structure from the router to powerline adapters?
  2. Have you download the powerline utility?

--if yes, what is the powerline rate between the adapters?

If plugging the two adapters in the same room, would the powerline rate get much higher? And how about the download speed?

By the way, how much is your total internet bandwidth?

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.
