Deco M9 V2 very unstable after upgrade to 1.5.0 42330
Deco M9 V2 very unstable after upgrade to 1.5.0 42330
After upgrade to firmware 1.5.0 my Deco M9 network is very unstable. Satellites are continuously dropping from main Deco.
Until this latest upgrade I never have had any connection issues, network was very stable. The biggest problem is that I can't downgrade to firmware 1.4.3 anymore, this is not supported.
Will there be a new stable firmware available asap?

Hi,
The latest firmware for Deco M9 plus now is 1.5.1.
And if the current firmware is on 1.5.0, please try to update to 1.5.1 first.
After the firmware upgrade, if there Is any further issue, please feel free to leave me a private message with details;
Since there is little feedback about the instability after 1.5.1, for this issue, we have reported the feedback to the engineers already.
If you had the same unstable issue with the satellite Deco, please send an email to support@tp-link.com with the subject [Forum ID 251506]Deco M9 plus instability after 1.5.1 firmware upgrade.
And please add the following information:
- The network topology of the Deco system;
- Would all the satellite Deco have the unstable issue and blink red when the connection dropped?
- The signal source of the satellite deco;
Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

Hi, sorry for the delay.
since firmware 1.5.0 just released several weeks ago and it was not pushed to all users, we did not get much feedback about this firmware yet.
Could you please help me check the following information:
- Did the main Deco have a stable connection?
- Would the satellite Deco units turn red when they are disconnected?
- Did the internet connection recover automatically, or it needs a reboot?
Thank you very much and wait for your reply.
And if anyone had the same issue, please feel free to update here or leave me a private message.
thanks!

1. Main Deco is always stable
2. Satellites turn red
3. Network does recover after a while but this takes some time, reboot is faster :-)
I have ordered another M9 unit to add in this network, if this increases the stability I will post this.
Thanks for the support!

For now the network is stable again, I just added the 4th M9 Plus without any problems.
I notice one strange thing, all satellites connect to the main Deco so no real meshed network anymore, before firmware 1.5.0 42330 the other Deco's did interconnect.

Same problem occurred after upgrade to 1.5.1 Version 59387, very unstable network, satellites losing connection. Manual reboot (power down) of the M9's fixed the problem.
Some M9's needed to be rebooted twice.
Now network is stable again but that took a couple of hours.

Still stability of the network was much better with 1.4.3 firmware. Will this be fixed in upcoming releases?
Before I almost had never any connectivity issues.
