Hello!

I have an issue with one of my Deco devices and I was hoping someone could point me towards a solution.

So this deco which has the issue is connected wired (cat6) to my modem and sends out a mesh signal. I got a PC plugged in the deco using an ethernet cable.

I have 3 units and the others work fine, never a problem all connected to the modem using ethernet.

The one with the issue is crashing maybe once a day? (the signal drops and the light on top is flashing red) The network is up, the other deco devices are working fine.

I need to power off and on again and everything is ok again.

So.. something is making it crash.

I tried to debug by reading the log, but I just don't know what to look for.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

@BP1

Hi,

May I know the working mode on this deco, access point mode?

Could you please provide a detailed picture about your network structure?

Would swapping the location of this Deco with another satellite Deco make any difference

Thank you very much and wait for your reply

Hello, thank you for your reply.

The working mode is indeed AP.

The network structure is:

Fiber -> Fritz box Modem

-> Deco (ethernet) -> PC (ethernet) + Wireless devices (office)

-> Deco Main (ethernet) -> Switch for ethernet + Wireless devices (living room)

-> Deco (ethernet) -> PC (ethernet) + Wireless devices (bed room)

Only the Office Deco crashes.

I haven't tried switching 2 units (for example bedroom and office), I hoped the error log would point to some configuration issue :)

I will try and swap 2 units, so we can rule out if the Office device is faulty.

B.

@TP-Link

So I switched the Office Deco with the Bedroom Deco and I'm still experiencing crashes in the office: so it wasn't one faulty unit.

I suspect some sort of packet overflow or other command which triggers the error, since my PC is connected via ethernet.

I'll attach the logs for debugging.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions!
