Hi I have an existing Powerline network in my house which I want to extend into another room. The existing network is using 2 x PA4010P AV600 extenders and works very well. My question is do I have to use the same model of Powerline adaptor to extend this network or can I use any TP-Link AV600 adaptor?
The model you have is an AV1 adaptor (600mbps) so this will be compatiable with any of the AV1 and even AV2 adaptors (1000mbps+)
If you are mixing AV1 and AV2 try and keep the AV2 as the master (router end)
However just buying the same model you have would be cheaper as these are older devices now, the AV2 models will cost more
