I want to buy the Archer 400 

but i found two versions v2 and v3 

in v2 the router has three antena and the usb port can be used for the printer as server 

for v3 it had two antenas and i couldnt get more information about it 

can you plz help me choose between them

Hey

 

The number of aerials physically attached doesn't really mean much, its all about the radios inside.   More aerials doesn't mean anything, you could weld 4 more wheels on your car, still only one engine underneath driving the thing..

 

Both these models are capable of 2x2 connection, this means

 

2x 20mhz channels (40 total) on the 2.4Ghz - max 300mbps

2x 40mhz channels (80mhz total) on the 5Ghz  - 866mbps max

 

So they are exactly the same fundamentally, however if asking my opinion go for the v3.  It will have a newer chipset and software version, should also be supported longer via updates.   Its ultimately the newer model   smiley
