Model: RE200
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.0.4

I have been using this device in its Range Extende mode with no problems.

I now wish to us it in Wireless Access Point mode.

Having reconfigured, the device is visible both wirelessly and via the hard wired etherent.

However, it seem to take the entire network off the internet.

The device is connected direct to the RJ45 socket on the router, and while that connection remain, NO INTERNET ACCESS is avaiable for any other device on the network.

I run a fairly large 1GB wired network with several switches and WAPs but this on ehas me baffled.

Any suggestions?

@Roboscot

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.

Could you please help me check the IP address and gateway when it connected to the RE200 on AP mode

What is the model number of your home router?

Would there be another Ethernet port on the router for RE200 to test?

--or if the laptop connected via same cable to the same port from the router work fine?

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

@Roboscot

I had reported this problem some time ago but decided to use the device in its Range Extender mode

IP:                 192.168.77.4

Mask             255.255.255.0

Gateway:      192.168.77.1

DNS             192.168.77.1

Current IP Router is Netgear D6400

The fault seems to be independent of the IP router; I have changed this several times since I first noted the fault

I have tried having the device connected to the router and all other wired connections detached.

The fault persists/

I have a WA850RE and this seems to work OK in Access Point mode.

Is there a firmware upgrade?

The network topology is as follows:

===========================

192.168.77.1             # Netgear  D6400 Router       ADSL Connection  DHCP server and Gateway
192.168.77.2             # Netgear EX2700 WiFi Range Extender
192.168.77.3             # Netgear EX2700 WiFi Range Extender
192.168.77.4             # TPLink RE200 Range Extender Dual Band
192.168.77.5             # TPLink-WA850RE Range Extender as Wireless Access Point
192.168.77.6             # Dlink Powerline extender       Wireless Access Point
192.168.77.7             # Netgear WAC124 as    Wireless Access Point
192.168.77.8             # TP-Link  TL-WA801ND as Wireless Access Point
===========================
