USB 4G for TL-WR902AC
Hi to everyone,
I have a problem with trying to connect my TL-WR902AC to an USB 4G. The router does not recognize my Huawei E3372 LTE USB Stick, instead in Amazon web page appears like compatible. I have seen in other posts that you say this USB is not in the list of compatible devices, but in this list does not appear any USB. Do you know which 4G USB could I use for this router?
Thank you very much in advance for your help
Best regards.
Joaquin

Hi - same issue here. WR902AC v3 (latest firmware from EU site), huawei E3372h-320 . LTE dongle works just fine connected to laptop, connected to WR902AC it tries and tries to identify the usb device and fails with unplugged.
Tested a regular usb storage device on the router, and was able to access the shared drive. So, usb port seems just fine on the router.
It seems there's some incompatibiity between the router and this particular lte dongle.
I have tried to connect and disconnect the modem several times, rebooted the router multiple times with or without the modem dongle attached.
I also reset the router to factory settings and re-tested.
Logs attached.
Has anyone been able to make these two work?

Upon checking this compatibility list, the huawei E3372h-320 is not in the list, which means the compatibility is not guaranteed:
https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/3g-comp-list.html?model=TL-WR902AC&hdVer=V3&location=1144
However, you can still follow the guide to check if you can make it work with the router:

@Kevin_Z - thank you for the reply. 3372h-xxx is in the compatibility list of many countries. I presumed the minor version number does not matter - i.e. must be the same device with some country specific minor changes. I saw 153, 607 as being supported.
I did follow the guide with no luck...
Complicated.

Hello, I am having very same issue with same combination of router and LTE dongle.
Is it possible to also get the firmware version that resolves this issue please?

Same LTE dongle? The model is huawei E3372h-320? If that is the case, we will send you the beta firmware to confirm.

Hello @MajkAdamko and anyone else who wants to set up the internet connection on the TL-WR902AC V3 with a HUAWEI E3372h-320 dongle, if the dongle is still displayed as "unplugged" after troubleshooting as per the suggestions here, please download and install the below beta firmware on the WR902AC, then plug the HUAWEI E3372h-320 into the router again to check if it can be identified successfully:
Here is the guide to install the firmware manually via the router web interface:

Let the community know if the issue gets resolved, thank you.
