Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : TL-WDR4300
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : : 3.13.17 Build 120426 Rel.29216n
ISP : Sky
I am trying to setup my ftp site.
My internet address appears as
FTP Server Configuration
Server Status: Started
Internet Access: EnableDisable
Service Port: (The default is 21, do not change unless necessary.)
Internet Address: 192.168.0.3
How does my ftp site get active, it keeps the 192.168.0.3 address.
I have enabled and saved hoping this will allow it, but no joy.
Any tips?

Hello all,
unbelievable, but try User: admin, Pass: admin.
Of course, I've changed the user and the pass for the router, but for the FTP these work. Quite shitty, I wouldn't enable for WAN.
(I have a TL-WDR4300 with the newest firmware: wdr4300v1_en_3_13_33_up_boot(130617).bin.)
TP-Link, please provide a SW update...

ftp from web
2014-01-19 05:10:18
I have the same problem, i have tried everything to get the ftp service from the router to work.
From every computer in my home network i can access the ftp service from the usb drive connected to the router.
From any other computer on the internet it is impossible to connect to the ftp server.
I have tried a normal ftp service on one of my computers and this works ok from the web anywhere, but the inbuilt service in the router can not be reached from the web.
This must be an internal problem with the firmware in the router.
Anyone have an answer or know if there will ever be a firmware upgrade to fix this.

Same problems with internet access to ftp server
2014-04-25 16:54:27
I have the same problem as the previous usesr. The ftp server is running on a LAN not on a WAN. I have checked if the ports are open from internet. I using a WAN IP address and the router configuration is OK.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.

192.168.0.1 is the LAN IP of the Archer C9 by default; if it is the router's LAN IP, we cannot add it under virtual server page. The IP addresses can be within the DHCP pool, but different from the LAN IP of C9.
