Hello.
I have an RE305 Range extender,
It doesn't detect the 5Ghz signal from my ISP - Airtel, channel is set to Auto, i tried asking them to change they changed it to channel 153 citing its better. but my extender still won't connect to the 5Ghz of my router. It is detecting other 5Ghz network.
My router is Nokia G-2425G-A.
Any help would be appreciated

Good day.
Thank you very much for your patience.
Was the RE305 EU version?
If yes, due to the CE certification, EU version did not support band 4(149-165), only band 1/2/3.
Please try to change the 5ghz channel to 40/48 to have a look.
Thanks a lot.

@TP-Link Hello,
My ISP provider can't have the channel set to 40/48 for 5GHz
they have however changed it from 153 to 11.
would that serve any purpose?

@Aruj not sure if you've resolved the issue yet, but I think I can help out as a fellow Airtel fiber customer who also owns an RE305 with the same issue. I have the Nokia router that they provided, but I assume that the inspect element line will be similar for any router. Here's the solution:

Hey@Sena07 , if extender could detect router's 5Ghz signal, it is recommend to change 5Ghz channel on the WiFi router , not the channel of RE. You may need some help from router support to change router's wifi channels.
