Hello, this Archer C7 V2 is quite old version, you may try to update its firmware from the local website:

Hi, as I mentioned earlier, this C7 V2 is quite old, it doesn't support Onemesh feature, you cannot install the firmware for V4 or V5 into your V2 router, they are different pieces of hardware and it is not allowed to install the firmware across the hardware.

Meanwhile, Deco mesh is not compatible with the Onemesh feature on the Wi-Fi routers, which means even you get a C7 V5 with Onemesh, they cannot build up a mesh network. For more details, please refer to this FAQ: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2690/

@FahadRai

Hello, if that is the case, it is suggested to refer to the below firmware recovery instructions to flash the correct firmware:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/stories/detail/582

I hope this helps.

@Kevin_Z this worked but the firmware does not have any mesh update.

Is there any possibility of having this done on my router?

I have purchased a 3 unit deco system. I need to set that up using my C7 the main mesh router.

@Kevin_Z I was able to install version 2 but not able to install 4 & 5.

Any work around? Like I mentioned earlier I need V5 for the mesh setup.
