Model: Deco P7
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.9

Again, after the latest FW upgrade, Main Deco (working in AP mode) keeps loosing IP address and I have a global outage of all the devices that are connected thru wifi.

All the devices connected to the ISP router or to the router SSID keep working without any problem.

I keep seeing the ip addr del message in the Deco logs when the problem happens. Obviously, if the Deco is losing the IP address, there is no way it could process any traffic.

Would it be possible that someone actually looks into this problem. It is really annoying

If you are tempted to ask me about the model, version and network topology, feel free to check any of my previous posts

Thanks

@kiliclat

Hello, thank you very much for the logs you shared with us. I just found you have 15 posts or replied on the community while you never tag a TP-Link admin, we are sorry that we did respond them timely. Unless we are tagged we do not see that new responses have been added. We do not subscribe to every thread so rely on Tagging to ensure responses.

Just as you mentioned to others, to locate and speed up the troubleshooting process, we need to have very basic info about your network and setup, then we can try to figure it out.

It seems that you have 3 Deco P7 units and all of them are connected to a TP-Link switch via Ethernet cables, then connected to the main router. May I have the model number of the main router, have you confirmed if that is stable? Please connect your computer to the main router directly with cable and ensure you have a stable connection.

If that is without an issue, please then confirm if the Deco P7 LED will become blinking red when it loses the connection from the main router, try with different cat5e or cat6 cables.

If possible, we hope you could try to remove the switch from the network temporarily, just for a test, check if the Deco P7 can constantly get a valid IP address from the main router.

Thank you very much again.

@TP-Link_Deco

Hi,

thanks for your reply. The Router is ASKEY RTF8115VW REV5 with FW ES_g11.8_RTF_TEF001_V6.28_V008.

I have several computers connected direcltly to the switches that do not have problems when my DECOs loses connection so, for some reason, the problem is only affecting the Deco set.

I have just connected the Main Deco directly to the Router bypassing the switch and will monitor. (I mentioned in some other post but I already tried to factory reset all the decos and also changed Main Deco, therefore, using different cables to connect to the router)

Do you have any clue about why the Night LED feature gave up working?

thanks

@kiliclat

Hello, thanks for getting back quickly.

As for the Night LED feature stops working, do you mean it didn't take effect as the required schedule or it just doesn't work at all? If it is the former, please login to the web GUI of the Deco network, check and ensure the Time settings is correct, if not, sychronize it.

@TP-Link_Deco  I have changed the TZ to a different one, saved and changed back to my TZ. Seems to be working now. I will monitor closely

@TP-Link_Deco

After connecting the Main Deco to the Router, I just had another connection drop. You can see below, at 15:27:48, the APs go offline. 192.168.1.110 is my main Deco 192.168.1.112 and 192.168.1.113 are the secondary Decos. I think there is a nice piece of log attached below
