TP-link deco m4 and Zoom Video Conference
Hi,
Like the title says, I'm having issues with Zoom (The Video Conferencing Platform). Zoom says that my signal is low. My video stutters and stops for long periods of time (sometimes more than 3 secs).
The reason why I am saying that this is a deco issue is because if I connect to the WIFI of the router the deco is connected to, I do not experience this problem. When I turn the WIFI of the router off so that the deco is the only WIFI available, and I connect to the deco I experience said problem.
BTW, I don't experience problems with other sites. Is there a setting that I need to change or do to fix this?

Hi, there is a newer firmware for Deco M5, and could you please update the firmware via web UI: http://tplinkdeco.net to be the latest first:
https://static.tp-link.com/2021/202102/20210219/Deco_M5_V1_V2_V3_210203.zip
After that, please also try to enable the streaming under QoS and put the device for Zoom Calls to high priority;
By the way, did all the live streaming have an unstable issue or just the Zoom calls?
Thank you very much.

Since it is the most latest firmware and it does not release to all the users at the first time, so some customers might need to wait for a while to get the latest firmware or manually download the firmware and upload it to the web UI;
How about the Qos and high priority suggestions and did they make any difference?
Thank you.

I have 3 x M4's linked to a VM3 hub (100mbps contract). The VM hub is still broadcasting wifi (2.4 & 5Ghz) and the M4's are performing well. We have, until the kids went back to school, had no issues having 2 MS teams meetings, WhatsApp video call, browsing, streaming, VOIP calls and a zoom call at the same time. We have also been able to have 2 x zoom calls, movie streaming, gaming online and browsing happening all at the same time.
I don't know what, if any, differences we have in our setup but we seem to have no issues using zoom standalone or alongside lots of other network activity. All devices steaming or connected to video calls/meetings have been connected via the M4's and all echo dots, smart plugs etc have been left connected to the VM hub. This post is not not just me bragging that we have no problems more to say that some users seem to have no issues. I am not a techie and have just plugged in the M4's with no changes to the setup of either the M4's or the VM hub.
Not sure if this helps anyone
