Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.4.2 Build 20200727 Rel. 37987

I've enabled TP-Link DDNS in the settings page of my Deco M4 and enabled port forwarding on port 25565. I've also tested this using YouGetSignal using the subdomain I've registered in the router settings and everything seems to be fine. Expect when I ask some friends to join my server using this subdomain, they timeout. If I give them my actual IP address it works. I'd like to know if anybody got a private server working throught DDNS and how they got it to work.

@Kebung

Hello,

Please help confirm the below:

1. Login the DDNS website to check whether the WAN IP address on the website is the same as the one on the Deco WAN.

2. Ping DDNS. If the IP address it returns is the same as the current WAN IP address on the Deco, DDNS works properly.

3. Sometimes DDNS server has updated the IP address but you still cannot access the router with the domain name. Please change the DNS server on the Deco to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 to give it a go.

Thanks.
