Yes the Tiny is expensive, but at least it supports the 150Mbps E3276.

I guess this is the TPLINKS USB Sniffer, you used?

There appears to be some reports of success on 3G modems.

One major shortcoming of the V2, that is not well publicised, is that it does not run at full 4G speeds due to the old slow modem protocols it uses. The Tiny runs fast!.

I would be 98% sure we'll be able to help you shortly with a solution for the E3276, using a modified Open WRT firmware on the V2. We have not yet built the V2 image (waiting on the team at OpenWRT), but fingers crossed, it will be available shortly.

We have our '4G fast' image running on 3 x TPLINK MR series V1 routers (MR3020, MR3420 and the tiny TL 703n), supporting the Sierra 320U and ZTE MF821 100Mbs 4G modems currently available in Australia. These two modems are field tested in our Open WRT routers at recorded speeds of up to 70Mbps. The exception is the 150Mbps E3276, simply because none of our testers have one, to date.

Working E3276 solution for many TPLINK routers HERE.

Good news.

We now have a BlackWidow release that fully supports the MR3420 V2 and the E3276, MF821 and other late model usb modems.

Follow the links from the Whirlpool WIKI.

A couple of words of warning for users with the E3276 (other late model 3G/ 4G modems), that we have found along the way:

1. The E3276 may under some conditions (generally low signal levels), draw more power than the router can provide. This may lead to unstable performance and connection. The solution is a USB Y - Cable and an additional USB 5v supply.

2. The E3276 may under certain conditions require a USB cable with ferrite bead 'interference isolation' to ensure stable operation.

Directly connecting E3276 to your PC works or not? Your model is different from sapto's and there is no firmware upgrade on their website.
