Deco x60 auto switch 5ghz to 2.4
Hello,
Should the deco x60 auto switch from 5ghz to 2.4 when you get out of range? Because when I am in the garden it keeps my phone connected to 5ghz instead of going to 2.4 to get optimal connection.
Because its all the same ssid I cannot manually select the 2.4 without killing 5ghz for all clients
I have a Huawei P20
Best regards

Hello, thanks for requesting.
The feature to separate the 2.4GHz network from the 5GHz is not available yet, and we do receive some similar feedback and it has been forwarded to our developers and they are working on it, they will evaluate whether or how to add this feature on the Deco device.
Generally, the 2.4GHz frequency is able to reach farther than the 5GHz frequency, so that might be the reason the wireless switch to 2.4GHz automatically on your HUAWEI P20.
Good days.

I think you missunderstood,
"Generally, the 2.4GHz frequency is able to reach farther than the 5GHz frequency, so that might be the reason the wireless switch to 2.4GHz automatically on your HUAWEI P20."
it does NOT switch back to 2,4 when its connected to 5ghz. this SHOULD be the case. this should be investigated by the devs best regards Elroy
