Archer MR600 4G - SIM not detected error
Hi all,
I have just bought an Archer MR600 router and was trying to set-up 4G Internet connection but my card is not recognised.
I must say that I am from Romania and having a 4G SIM from Orange. I have also tried with a Vodafone one but still does not work. Error is SIM not detected
I tried also to set the ISP settings manually (from Orange / Vodafone website) but SIM card is still not recognised.
The third attempt was to upgrade the ISP with the one from the oficial website: https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201909/20190903/Archer%20MR600(EU)_V1_ISP_19502401.zip
However, when trying to upgrade it I get error 71212 (Failed to upload isp file. Please select the correct file and try again).
Can you please help?
Best Regards,
Alex.

Hello,
Please try to insert the SIM card, then reboot the device and observe.
If you insert your SIM card to your mobile phone, are you able to get the Internet?
May I know which country are you located in?
Here is an instruction you can refer to to upgrade the firmware. From the picture, I notice that you have input a ZIP file, it may be wrong, you need to unzip it and choose the correct file.

BTW, what is the model number of your SIM card? And what is the network type of your SIM card?
Here is a link you can find the network type of Archer MR600, you can check if your SIM card supports this type:

Hope it can work and have a nice day!

@Sunshine I have exactly the same problem. I have tried everything (firmware upgrade, other sim) but nothing helped. Sim cards do work in a mobile phone, but they are not detected in the router. So I have sent my 4G-router back to the store. Since lots of people seems to have the same issue, I'm not sure I will buy the same brand again.

@JurgenS I'm having the same problem now! I bought it from the UK to use in Bangladesh. From the beginning I noticed it has a network issue, then I used it to use a wireless router. A few days ago I tried to use with sim card and walla!!! No Sim Card Detected! I tried a different sim card, upgrade, reset, reboot! none of these work!

@Glenben I have the same issue, it was working fine for 15 days. And now suddenly it displays no simcard found. Already did firmware update and Isp update but no use.
