What is the difference between the hardware versions
V2 and V2.8 for tplink archer c6.

There seems no information.

Actually, the basic functions and features are the same on both V2 and V2.8, we generally update the package and product label to mark the package or production revision.
The number after the period is usually due to a change in the display box or where the device came from.
