Model: Archer C7

Hardware Version: V5

Firmware Version: 1.0.11 Build 20190726 rel.57101

Before the firmware update, I have a very good L2TP connection.

After update to above firmware version yesterday, the connection becomes very bad. I have no internet connection when connecting to L2TP. The router webpage indicate poor network. When disconnect L2TP, everything works and is fast.

I have this L2TP connection for 2 years and no issue until this firmware upgrade. Please help to fix. Thanks

Hello, may I know who is your L2TP VPN provider, and is there any error now when you tried to connect to that server?

Please kindly send us the system log of the router when you are trying to connect to that VPN server.

BTW, which country are you from and what is the region firmware of this Archer C7 V5?

Hi,

My provider is Express VPN

There is no issue with the connection. I use the Android app of the provider and it works fine.

I'm in Singapore. It is only after I update the router firmware and this happens.

HW: Archer C7 v5.0

Firmware : 1.0.11 Build 20190726 rel 57101 (5553)
