Hello, I just updated my deco p9 with the 1.1.0 firmware and after that I have fairly frequent (once or twice per day) loss of internet on variour devices (it happens on different clients, Windows 10 PC, Android phone, google home, etc.). What happens on the client is that the client is still connected to the wifi network, but cannot exchange data.

My network topology is pretty simple: ROUTER -> main deco -> bedroom deco (connected via wifi and powerline) -> other deco (connected to the bedroom as source and via wifi and powerline).

So far I experienced the loss of connectivity on clients connected to the main deco, but this is probably because this is simply where most of my devices are most of the time.

 

Here is a portion of the log recording the last event. Notes: 192.168.68.107 is the bedroom deco, 24:18:1D:33:C7:F9 is the client that lost connectivity (I was not moving through the house at that time), .......................... is because I blanked out the key ;)

 

Do you have any idea on how to fix this?

@jodacame same here. Galaxy Note 8 keeps dropping wifi. Internet may not be available. Also an iPad air 2 that doesn't keep the connection. 

Firmware 1.1.0 build 20200513 rel 52023.

Disabling fast roaming and beamforming makes no difference. 

 

Please fix. This is very frustrating. Got the firmware a few days after installing. Haven't seen the problem in the days before.

similar problem here. But instead I lose one of my P9s out of the network. 6 total. 2 furthest away in other small shops. 4 in main house work fine and PLC backhaul to each other. Outside had been fine.  Now when reboot lose furthest away. (which is usually wireless and PLC to the other building then wireless to closest in main house. 
 

now if furthest away connects to main by radio it bumps closer P9 off network. Never happened before. Very aggravating.

36 hours testing Access Point Mode and it's working fine now... 

 

If I get the error again I will come back here.
What I have done: I have changed Router mode to Access Point Mode.

 

I think that Router mode it's broken for me

Hi, i seem to be having the same issue which is very frustrating as i just bought this kit 2 weeks ago and ended up doing the firmware upgrade a few days ago. I have also put the kit in access point mode so lets hope it works but clealy TPLink need to sort this out.

Thanks for the suggestion, i will give it a try and let you know.

For the moment the disconnections happen less often,though nothing changed.

I dont think changing it to access mode has made any difference, if anything i feel its worse. I then logged into my Bt SmartHub and realised that i had turned my 5GHz option off on it( i cant remember why but i am sure there was a reason for it), so i have now gone back to the router mode and turned off the 5GHz on the Deco so make it identical to my BT router.  I will see if that makes any difference. Is there any way to contact TPLink help desk ?

@Gurjit I agree with you, 1 hours ago again my wifi it's broken, dropping every time my wifi connection in all my devices (I have connected 23 devices in my home). I don't know how can contact tp link support, that is frustrating.

Did any of you try to see in the log if before the client disconnection (i.e. wlanifLinkEventsCmnGenerateDisassocEvent) there is a connecton of one of the other decos to the primary deco (e.g. "Child connection from")? in my case it happens almost all the time. Not that we could do much about it, but it would be a probably useful to tp-link to fix the bug, if confirmed.

@lukef82 Same problem here. Enjoyed stellar wifi after installing the P9 a month ago. 2 weeks ago troubles began. Initially thought interference. Changing from Router to Access Point didn't have any effect. Hadn't considered the firmware update. Not sure if there is a causal relation though. Would a factory reset take my P9 back to pre firmware settings? That would be interesting as an experiment....
