Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I've got 3 Deco M4 units around the house and everything works well. They are configured in AP mode. All the units are connected throught Ethernet backhaul.

I want to replce mt router from the ISP with Archer C7 V5 which support OneMesh.

What will happen in this case? Will the router become the new Main Deco? Will the wireless network be defined by the router? Because in the Deco app you can only see Deco units when you add new devices. Not routers.

Would love some input from someone who has gone similar path.

@Jooni

Hi,

Since OneMesh™ and Deco Mesh are totally different technologies used on different TP-Link products, they could not work together to create the same mesh.

So Archer C7 would not become the main Deco and there would be only 3*Deco M4 on the Deco APP;

For more details, please have a look at this link:

Thank you very much.
