Model: Archer C2300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.0.3

I am currently running a c2300 as main router in my house and running a pair of m5s wired downstream in other buildings. Is there anything in the works for backhaul for this setup?

@Alex79

The Ethernet backhaul or Wi-Fi backhaul is between the Deco units, there is no Ethernet backhaul between the main Deco M5 and the C2300 router if the M5 is connected to the C2300 by an Ethernet cable to go to the internet.

@TP-Link_Deco I understand that. I am wondering if the firmware will ever be updated for the c2300. I see that the archer ac1750 does backhaul with these devices, and I've read that there is something in the works for ax6000. Am I ever going to be able to have these devices actually act as true access points?

@Alex79

Sorry for that I'm confused about your information. What's the model number of the AC1750 and AX6000 devices? We have different models are AC1750 or AX6000.

Deco has Router and AP mode, you can select the working mode via the Deco app. When you select the AP mode, all the Deco units in the same network will work in the AP mode.
