[Note: in order to make this post, I had to select a model from a pulldown menu. The pulldown menu is outdated, and does not contain the model TL-PA9020P(US), so please ignore the "7020" categorization if it appears in the metadata of this forum post.]

I am attempting to update the firmware on my just-purchased TL-PA9020P(US) Ver:4.0 adapter pair.  I am using MacOS 10.15.4.  I understand that TP-Link has been selling these adapters new for several months without providing a functioning production version of the tpPLC utility for this version of MacOS.  Elsewhere in these forums, I found a "beta" version linked, so I have installed that for now.  The "about" information for this unofficial version of the tpPLC utility describes it as V1.2.3596.1 with a 2018 copyright; upon running this version, there is a watermark indicating "Confidential -- Only For Test".

When can the user community that maintains current versions of MacOS (in my case, for security purposes) expect a production-quality version of the tpPLC utility?  MacOS 10.15 has been out for over half a year.

Currently I am trying to update the firmware of my TL-PA9020P(US) Ver:4.0 adapter pair from firmware version 3.2.4_902104_190506_901 to using the downloaded file with name BCM60500_v4.0.1d_20190523_US_PA9020Pv4.0.ggl

When I attempt to upgrade the firmware using the above-described "beta" version of the tpPLC utility with this ggl file, I receive a message that it has failed.

I kindly request your help in (a) upgrading the firmware, and (b) obtaining a production-quality tpPLC utility that will run under MacOS 10.15.4 and beyond.
