I've just bought my brand new archer vr400 and i setuped it with all the guideness of my ISP and intially it should me that there was a problem in the connection but finally it was setuped successfully and worked BUT with slow connection, then after 10 mins or less connection kept dropping for 2 days now and I have another router from another brand (my old one) is working fine also my ISP sent to me a technician and they found all the external line connection is fine so what is the problem now.

@Fadi_Sameh
I am experiencing the same issue the past week.
Have been reading forums and trying various of settings.
Nothing have worked out for me so far.
-Facotry reset
-Turning off 2.4 using only 5g and the other way around.
-Disabling ip6
-Changing channels, width etc.
-Disabling Short GI for 5g
-Changing the Internet connection from Dynamic to Static and other way around.
Did all the above without any luck.
Thinking of sending the router back from where I bought it but all this Coronavirus mess has me locked at home with a messy router...

@Salt, @Fadi_Sameh Exactly the same, WiFi drops out, unable to log into the router, ethernet ports still function. The only solution is to re-boot. I've had it 10 days from Amazon, so if I can't get any sucess here, it will be going back for a full refund and a suitable review will be left. disappointed that what seems to be a common problem has not been ironed out. hopefully @Kevin_Z may see this and suggest a solution.

Exactly the same here. I purchased this on Amazon when the router my ISP sent me would only connect to one mobile phone! This during the Corona crisis and 3 people trying to work from home.
When I first set it up it worked fine for around 2 weeks, my phone even connected to 5gh and worked great. Now most of my devices lose connection very often, usually each day and somtimes several times a day. Like others I have rebooted and changed various settings but nothing helps. Now even although I have 5gh switched on, it will not broadcast a 5gh signal.
Techinal support really need to do something about this fast. It is just not delivering what it is designed for.

Just adding my own experience with this device as having exact same issue - internet connection just seems to drop out.
Not able to login to web interface or ping it, just seems completely unresponsive until I do a manual power cycle.

Initially, I thought it was due to either wireless load on the device itself so I did my best to move as many devices as I can in the household to wired connections.
I'm waiting on some new powerline adapters to replace an existing TP-Link Wireless Extender which should remove a bit more strain on this device.
Am fearing if it carries on I'll have to return and look for an alternative. Shame the chipset doesn't support DD-WRT - at least that might get an update a bit later than July 2019!

My experience is that I am able to login to the web interface fine and I have made various changes all with no success. I have even tried allocating each device its own IP address. I allocated 2 Apple I phones different addresses only to find that both managed to connect to the same address, with only one managing to communicate with the router.
I also have a TP-Link Wireless Extender which I thought was part of the problem, so I removed it from the network and things seemed to improve for a short while.
I am really disapointed with this device. I too am thinking of looking for an alternative.

Forgot about this thread!
One thing I want to check - is anyone else who's having the drop-off/lockup condition also using a TP-Link range extender?
I had been using one previously to connect up a PC and provide better WiFi coverage upstairs however it was since replaced by some powerline adapters/extra network switches and since then my router has behaved quite nicely.

I'm having the same troubles... Ethernet remains stable, but wifi drops out at least once per day.

Is this going to be fixed anytime soon?

Of course, wait a few more years, the problem will be solved when the device breaks down :D
