Model: Archer C60
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.0 Build 20161206 rel.65407

Hello

My internet speed hired is 200 MBs, however the wifi speed in TP Link C60 in 5GHz is 90 MBs (Max) in 2.4 GHZ 10 MBs (Max), i think is slow, i want to know if this model can bring more speed trough wifi in both bands or if this is an error in my router.

Remark: checking the speed directly form internet provider modem with UTP is very good 210 MBs, for that reason i think is an error in the TP link router.

Hi, like Matthew said, the Archer C60 has the fast ethernet ports, which means that the speed you get from the C60 won't be higher than 100Mbps.

Interface 4 × 10/100Mbps LAN Ports
1 × 10/100Mbps WAN Port

As the bandwidth you paid is 200Mbps, you can purchase a wireless router with gigabit ethernet ports, like Archer C6, Archer C7 and so on.

Besides, as for the 2.4GHz speed issue, you can change the wireless settings to improve its performance, including wireless channel and channel width. And please ensure that the firmware is up to date.

Good day.

Hi,

I think you mean Mbit/s not MByte/s (1 Byte = 8 bit).

The answer is easy, this route router is with Fast WAN port (100Mbps), that is to say, you can never reach higher speed than 100Mbps. And that is to say, if your tariff plan is less than 100Mbps, Archer C60 is an excellent router for you, becuase as you test, the 5GHz can reach 90Mbps; but if your tariff plan is over than 100Mbps, you need choose a Gigabit Router. For example Archer C6. This is the most cost-effective gigabit router as I know.
