Can I downgrade to the original version Deco M4R Firmware Version: 1.1.8 Build 20191102 Rel. 58333?
If so, can I ask for the link where I can download the file?
It seems like the connection (wired/wireless) is unstable using the Build 20201225-rel40566 or Build 20200408-rel39765.

Hi, Thank you very much for all your feedback.
Since the firmware 1.1.8 build20191102 Rel.58333 is a Philippine customized version for local ISP only, it does not support web interface;
If you have any issue about the current firmware, such as weak security issue on IOS devices, please install the following firmware:
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202012/20201225/Deco_M4_1.1.8_PH_enc.zip
(There is an instruction included about how to update the firmware.)
Note: This firmware is not supported web interface either but it allows users to manually change the security mode on the Deco APP;
Please feel free to let me know if there is any other issue;

I also have the Deco M4R 1.1.8 Build 20191102 Rel. 58333 and I can't access the Web UI to change the WPA security as it is showing weak security on my apple devices.
Does the zip file you have provided to update the deco M4 work on Mac computers? If not, will you be able to provide a file that works for Mac computers?
Thank you!

Hi, I see that you might know your current firmware is a customized firmware for a local ISP that did not support web UI.
For the weak security issue you posted on the other thread, please install the beta firmware above-build20201225 which allows changing network security type to WPA2/WEP.
And if possible, it is also suggested that you could contact your internet service provider since they might be able to get the most updated firmware version for Deco M4.
Thank you very much.

I am stumped. I am stuck at Step 1 because I don't know how to "setup static IP as 192.168.0.xxx/24 on the PC". A step by step guide would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the link to the step by the step guide on how to setup a static IP address.
One last question, what numbers should I enter under the IP address, Subnet mask, Default gateway, and DNS server fields?
