I have lost connection. I just have power light on only. WPS button does nothing. Holding down reset with a pin does nothing.

Try to unplug it and plug it back to the wall socket. And then hold the reset hole for 1s to reset it.
After that, please verify whether you can see the default extender wifi. And you can connect your computer to the extender by wired cable and try to log into the web UI.
Besides, when did you buy this TL-WA850RE?
