AC1750 aka RE450 unable to connect to the network
The extender is unable to extended WiFi from Cisco router. I also have another TP-link extended connected to the same router (AC2600 aka RE650).
Once I connect to RE450, it sees available Wi-FI networks but as soon as you go through the installation process it applies all settings but the lamp is red and no internet.
What has been tried:
- I downloaded the previous firmware versions - no difference.
- I tried to connect RE450 to RE650 (maybe the Cisco router does not like RE450 model, as much as it does RE650) - no difference.
I tried to set up wifi network first (by changing its name and password), relog-in and then connect to internet. As soon as I make that connection the RE450 stops working. The red lamp flashes, I am not able to connect to the extender via 192.168..... or tplinkextender.net I can connect to the newly created wifi but it has no internet connection.
One more thing, once network is configuret it asks to a PIN but there is also option to enter WiFI password.

Hello, you can refer to case 3 to enable DHCP server on RE450 and assign it a static IP for it.

What is the led status of the RE450 after finishing the configuration?
Please ensure that you use the main router's wifi password to set it up. You can move it closer to the main router and give it a go.
Besides, once you set it up, try to take a screenshot of the status page and settings-network page on RE450 and show us.
What is the model number of your cisco router as well?
Thanks a lot.

Hello, Kevin_Z
Many thanks for such swift response.
All lights are solid blue. I was sitting right below the main router .
The Cisco model is AIR-SAP1602I-A-K9 (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/wireless/aironet-1600-series/index.html)
Please find the screenshot with the settings-network pages. What I did is set-up WIFI networks first under extended networks, before connecting to internet.
This is because once "connected" to internet I am not able to connect to the extender any longer nor I can get to the status page.

@Stephe1n Many thanks, I appreciate your response.
@Kevin_Z Your answer solved the problem and now I have wifi throught out my apartment. Many thanks!
The only thing I would add to the tutorial is this: Connect your PC to the WiFi you want to extend. Start -> CMD -> Ipconfig /all
You can get Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS Servers values from there.
It was easy. I feel good that I did not throw my RE450 in a bit couple days back :-)

Thanks for your reply, glad to hear that it works well.
And I would add your suggestion into my post, it will help other customers.
Best regards.
