Good day!

Been using the TP-link USB printer utility with the TD-9970 router for a while and it works well.

Getting rid of ADSL now.

When I change router to Wireless Router mode and plug LTE router via WAN port Internet works fine BUT the USB printer utility does not work as router then gets IP adress from the LTE router and the USB print utility gives error as LTE router gives a different IP address.

Can the printer be made to work this way - maybe I am overlooking a setting?

Thank you!

@Kevin_Z

LaserJet 1006 printer conneced with USB to TD-W9970 USB port.

Huawei LTE router connected to WAN port of router.

I may have solved the problem by connecting my computer to the wireless of the TD-W9970 router - wireless assign the IP address in the 192.168.1.1 range..

Hopefully it works reliably.

With LAN connected it gets the 192.168.8.1 range from the router - then the TP-Link printer utility does not detect the printer.

BUT thanks for responding!

@chrismine

What is the current network diagram? How do you connect the laptop and printer?

Where did you see the error message? Please show us a screenshot of it.

Thanks a lot.
