TP link Powerline-Adapter doesn't actualize the new router WLANpassword
Hello all,
I have a small issue: I've changed the WLAN Password in my router and I use a TP Link Powerline-Adapter AV 500 (TL-WPA4220) which despite all my efforts it doesn't actualize the WLAN password. So I reset the device and pair it again, however after I press the clone network button (WPS) it's cloning the WiFi still with the old password. This means that on the groundfloor I have the WiFi with the new pass and on the first floor where I use the Powerline-Adapter I have same WiFi (because it's cloned) but with the old password.
Why it's not cloning the new password after reset? Can I set the password manually? Please help.
Best regards,
LucKar

Hello all,
Thanks for the ideas and support. What I did to fix my issue is:
1) Download the tpPLC Utilyty from here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/
2) I needed to stop the Firewall and Security protection to get connected to my addapter as described here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1086/
3) I could not change the WLAN pass in the tool itself, but on the right side of the TP device shown in the tool (where the settings are) you also get a small icon nameded "Website" redirecting you to the TP-link login website (the IP is dinamic alocated in my case, but it's something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.198 or any other 192.168.xxx).
4) I accessed the WLAN Security settings from the left side menu and there I corected the WLAN password (it seams that it is a bug and the old password is not overwritten when you press again the clone button of the device).
Now it's working but I need to write it down, because if I ever change again the password or the name of my WLAN, then I will need to correct the credential manually for the TP-Linl Powerline addaptopr (AV500).

Try to setup the password manually via the tpPLC utility.
Below is the instruction:

May it help.

@Kevin_Z thanks for your replay. I'll try to see if I can fnd and download the tpPLC utility and see if it's compatible, because from the TP-LINK website the recomandation is for other Powerline utility for my model (it's looking like this one: https://www.tp-link.com/de/support/faq/1023/) and this utility has no way to set the WLAN pass (only the device pass can be changed). Do you have a link where can I find and install the tpPLC utility shown in the link you provided?

Hello, you can download the tpPLC utility and use it to change the wireless settings first.
If it does not work, then use the powerline scan utility.

Instruction listed as below: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/398/
May it help.
