Maximum number of Wireless clients
Hi,
We are using TP-Link Wireless Router with the above mentioned hardware and software version to test some wireless clients. When number of Wireless clients go beyond 15, some instability is seen -- where the client stations get disconnected. Frequent disconnections and reconnections are seen.
When the number of clients is less than or equal to 15, everything seems to be fine. From configuration perspective, we have been using fixed IP (no DHCP) and using Channel 6 on Wireless side.
Quick response is appreciated.
Thanks,
Srivatsan

Hello, to ensure the performance (speed and stability), it is recommended to connect no more than 15 clients to the TL-WR940N.
Please notice that, the actual number of connected devices varies due to the actual network environment.
May it help.

Hello, all the AX series models are designed to allow connecting as many as 64 clients of each band due to the specifications. However, the maximum number of concurrent clients which wireless routers can handle is mainly restricted to network environment as well. The specific number depends on your traffic load and the bandwidth given by your ISP. For example, if some clients in your network are doing uTorrent/P2P downloading or watching online video, most of the bandwidth and system resources will be occupied, then only a few clients can enjoy the network; but if all the clients just do ordinary web browsing, then the router can handle much more clients simultaneously with good network performance.
