Model: TL-WR1043N
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 3.13.15 Build 140319 Rel.41339n

Hi,

I am trying to use the WDS bridging option on my TL-Wr1043ND v1.8 router to make it the slave router and connect to my new Archer C1200. I have followed this guide https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/440/ and rebooted my router at the very end. Now I can connect to the slave router but it will not have an internet connection to it, so it doesn't work. I don't know what to do, I have googled and searched elsewhere but all I get are instructions to follow the same guide. I have tried live chat but it appears that although the option to talk is available, there is no one to talk to on a Sunday night.

This page https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/227/ says that even two routers by TP-Link may not be able to use WDS Bridging together but I have no idea if that is the case for me.

Any help/guide/tips/troubleshooting will be very much appreciated, I have literally been at this since morning and it is now 11pm.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. After asking around I was entering the correct settings but it would not work. In the end I flashed dd-wrt and used the repeater bridge guide for Atheros devices and that worked for me.

@MiniYNWA

Do you use the wireless password of Archer C1200 to configure the TL-WR1043ND as a repeater via the WDS bridging function?

Have you ever changed the LAN IP address of TL-WR1043ND?

With computer connected to the TL-WR1043ND, please click here to check the IP address and gateway.

Besides, please ensure that the firmware is up to date.

Good day.
