Model: TL-WA850RE
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hi all.  I can’t seem to get the range extender to connect to the main network. Also only two lights are on and they never go full around the circle. This extender used to work fine and now suddenly it’s not working anymore. I’ve tried turning it on and off resetting it and turning off everything in the house and turning it back on nothing like that seems to work. I logged into the extender and all the passwords and everything are fine and it still will not Connect. Ideas?

@Dogboy

You can go to settings-system tools-firmware upgrade page to get the current firmware it is running.

Below is the instruction to configure the TL-WA850RE:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/tl-wa850re/#video

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1411/

Meanwhile, you can refer to the guidance below to do further troubleshooting if still failed.

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2233/

Besides, please use the main router's wifi password to configure the extender and tell us the model number of the main router.

May it help and have a nice day.
