Hello 
I want to make my TL-WA860RE range extender an access point and connect it with an ethernet cable that comes from my router because I would like to convert my wired network into a wireless one. Should I run any more settings or can I only follow the steps, that are written to user guide, for making it an access point ?

Below is the instruction to configure the range extender as an access point, you can give it a go.
